Mossy's Cafe: Reviews & Ratings
This is a beautiful mixture of modern and classic architecture. The atmosphere makes the restaurant even more enjoyable. It's larger than you'd expect with plenty of seating. I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and a Vanilla Iced Latte. The Chicken Salad was really good. It needs a bit of seasoning salt, but it's nearly perfect. The Vanilla Latte was also tasty, but I like a strong coffee base. It was just a bit weak for me. I would definitely go again and spend an entire afternoon just the same.
Super cute cafe/coffee shop. Pretty good coffee. A great place to meet up and chat. They also have food.
Came here for breakfast on a saturday morning. The food does take a little time to come out but WELL worth it! This place is everything you look for in a good coffee shop. Speciality coffees are fantastic and the food is amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy and it was the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The biscuits are buttery, homemade and flaky. The sausage gravy is amazing. Spouse enjoyed her two egg breakfast. And the hash brown casserole is a must! And the prices? Can't compete with it for what you get, worth every penny. Oh and the bathroom decor is hilarious.
When I first walked in I thought it was a coffee shop. The staff there was very friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the food was amazing. I am always skeptical about trying new restaurants, but this was definitely worth the try. I would definitely come here again and would highly recommend it
Got the salted maple latte iced. It was fairly uninspiring, didn't taste much maple at all. However, for a generalized latte, it's great! All that was missing was a more prominent maple taste. Hubby got the "Toasty Elf" latte. He said it's one of the best lattes he's had. He's not a huge fan of a pungent espresso taste, and this latte had a borderline perfect balance between the intended flavor and the espresso. Also, bonus point for the latte art; it was very well done. Seems the drinks are best served hot. The southwest burrito was pretty good. The only things I could recommend would be a slight change to the chicken consistency and the even-ness of the guacamole. A finely shredded chicken would be easier overall to eat and would make it less of a hassle for those with dentures or other health afflictions that make chewing difficult. The guacamole amount was perfect, but to avoid getting a half just guacamole-half everything else burrito, smearing the guacamole on the tortilla before adding the remaining contents would remedy this. The Chipotle sauce served on the side seems to be par-for the course in terms of local tastes. Slightly more Mayo-heavy and with an underlying sweetness. A good paring for this burrito. Overall, this café is a local treasure, no doubt. With a positive mindset focused on growth and consistent adaptation, I'm sure this place will grow wonderfully as time goes on.
Quaint place with great food and excellent service! Chicken & churro waffles are amazing, as well as everything else we have tried!
Mossy’s Café is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff is incredibly friendly and made the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. The food was nothing short of delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I also tried one of their specialty teas, and it was fantastic—perfectly brewed and packed with flavor. It’s clear they put thought into every detail. I’ll definitely be back. This place is a new favorite! Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and even better people.
It is easy to see how this beautiful coffee shop is a long standing favorite of so many folks. The service was awesome and the blueberry scones as too good to describe easily. The coffee is good but on the bitter end of the taste scale for my liking. Some probably prefer that flavor profile. The staff did a good job handling a busy Saturday and kept a prompt friendly atmosphere that has a cool coffee vibe. Nice place.
